The goal of this program is to support interdisciplinary teams of expertise in relation to specified 5-year research agendas that add substantially to our understanding of problem gambling and our ability to reduce associated harm.
To be eligible, teams must be conducting collaborative research in Ontario research institutions.
The Centre encourages focused applications in line with the following priorities:
Prevention – agendas that are consistent with risk avoidance and risk reduction strategies, and address any combination of:
Gambling Environment – agendas that address the environments in which gambling occurs or the interface between gamblers and various forms of gambling through any combination of:
Other – other agendas that proponents consider worthy of investment:
Awards are for a period of up to five years subject to a satisfactory performance review in the third year. The maximum value of the award is $100,000 (plus a Doctoral Studentship of $20,000) per year, for a total of $600,000.
