Purpose & ObjectivesThese awards are intended to assist groups in the transfer and application of research results to practice. The objectives are as follows: - Ensure findings reach an end user;
- Analyze research results as they emerge;
- Plan methods for transfer of new research knowledge;
- Identify approaches to the effective application of new research knowledge;
- In selective cases, develop pilot projects to test new evidence-based practice with funding support from the Centre.
1. Knowledge Transfer GrantsThe emphasis should be on identifying target audiences outside the research field and developing innovative methods for the transfer and application of knowledge. Overview - Grant Maximum up to $2,000.00
- Up to 12 months from the date of the award
Eligibility - Any Centre funded researcher who has completed a Level II, III, or IV research project is eligible to apply.
2. Knowledge Application AwardsIdeally, these awards will result in the development of pilot projects, including but not limited to: - Integrating a new protocol or screen into professional/clinical practice;
- Adding controls or changes to policy or practice in response to information about vulnerable groups;
- Changing clinical protocols to better manage problem gambler sub-types.
Overview - Grant Maximum up to $10,000.00
- Up to 12 months from the date of the award
Eligibility - There must be a partnership between an organization and the researcher whose findings will be applied to practice
- Application may originate from either the researcher or the organization
- Project focus must be on benefiting the health of Ontario residents
